May Demo on Color Theory and Limited Pallets in Watercolor with Plainfield Watercolor Artist Murley Wheeler

A special thank you to Mr. Murley Wheeler, local Plainfield watercolor artist, for his wonderful and informative talk on color theory and working with a limited pallet in watercolor!  Mr. Wheeler gave examples from his own work and experiences with well known watercolor instructors around the Midwest with whom he studied.  He gave practical advice for beginners and more advanced students of watercolor and took questions from the audience.

Mr. Wheeler also teaches watercolor out of his studio in Plainfield on Mondays and Wednesdays.  For more information on his classes, please call or email the Art League at the numbers/address below....

April Demo - Creating Mandalas with Artist Heather Randazzo

A special thank you to our speaker, Artist Heather Randazzo of local Suncrest Studios, for giving us some history about and guidance in creating mandalas this month!   It was a hands-on demo where everyone was encouraged to create their own unique mandala from scratch.  Not only was it a wonderfully creative pursuit, but a very relaxing, calming endeavor for all in attendance.

Thank you again, Heather - it was a lot of fun!
