Congratulations PAL "Transitions" Exhibit Winners!

We would like to congratulate all our winners from our September "Transitions" exhibit at the Plainfield Public Library!  It was a terrific show judged by Mr. Mark Fisk, art instructor from Dwight School District.  Mr. Fisk had wonderful things to say about the high quality of artwork exhibited and the difficult time he had choosing between the beautiful work.  Here are our winners:

Best of Show - Gloria Moses, "Poppies in Red"

Best of Theme - Ron Girard, "Zihuatanejo Sunset"

First Place - Mike Bessler, "Deer River Falls"

Second Place - Freddie Harmon, "Emerge"

Third Place - JoAnn Deck, "Pearls of Wisdom"

Thank you to all who participated and congratulations again...it was a wonderful show!

 >>>If you are interested, we will be hosting a PAL booth at the Plainfield Public Library Arts & Crafts show on Saturday, September 22nd, on the library grounds. If you would like to show off your work, please bring a piece or two on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:00am. If you have questions, please contact Freddie Harmon @ 815-729-9111.

>>>Our next PAL member exhibit opportunity will be at Gibby's Wine Den in Geneva, IL. It will be a month-long exhibit.  Gibby's is a marvelous venue for displaying and selling artwork. Several of our members have already exhibited here and have given the owner high marks for not only displaying their art in a professional manner but for advertising the exhibits and catering to the artists' needs. If you would like to participate in this show, please send us a quick email so we can give our host a head-count. Deadline is October 1st for sign-up. Depending on the number of participating artists, we are anticipating bringing 2 to 3 pieces - no easels needed as she has a hanging system installed. If you are interested and would like more info, please call or email us. Thanks everyone!
